In the 2 hour, 20 minute docu-drama Sunshine State there are not many of the audience friendly things used to attract attention at the muti-plex. But what we do have is a complex network of stories that unfold to unveil the fabric of a community's identity in jeopardy to the culturally norming influence of big business and development. Is it really all about the money? Is there any viable local culture that can sustain the force of modern capitalism? Who are we when we lose our sense of place? Who may we be when our identity is sold down the river with our properties?
